1 Person Killed in Motorcycle Collision on 5 Freeway in San Juan Capistrano

 
SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA (April 11, 2023) — One person died in a motorcycle and car accident on the 5 Freeway near Junipero Serra Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal motorcycle crash happened around 9:22 p.m. Monday. Under unclear circumstances, the motorcycle rider crashed into a vehicle on the northbound freeway.
 
Following the impact, motorists found the motorcyclist on the road as several vehicles stopped to the side to help.
 
By 9:58 p.m., CHP officers contacted a County Coroner to assist with the body. Due to the accident, commuters had to navigate around the No. 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 lanes.
