1 Person Killed in 5-Car Crash on San Jacinto Avenue in San Jacinto

 
SAN JACINTO, CA (April 5, 2024) — One person died in a multi-car accident at San Jacinto Avenue and Ramona Expressway.
 
According to the Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department, a 5-car crash happened around 7:40 a.m. Thursday. Under unclear circumstances, the vehicles collided at the intersection, leaving two people trapped. Subsequently, Riverside County Fire paramedics arrived at the scene and extricated two people trapped in the wreckage.
 
Tragically, one person died at the scene and two people suffered major injuries while another two reported minor injuries. While paramedics evaluated three others, the patients declined hospital transportation.
 
Due to the accident, officers closed Ramona Expressway to investigate. If anyone has additional information on this fatal accident, please call the California Highway Patrol.
