1 Killed, 1 Hospitalized in Police Chase Accident on Moraga Way in Orinda

 
ORINDA, CA (June 28, 2022) — One person died in a police chase crash on Moraga Way near Highway 24 on Saturday.
 
According to Moraga police, a pursuit ensued when a driver in a stolen car failed to stop as an officer tried to pull over the driver. Subsequently, a chase unfolded, leading officers in dangerous circumstances when the driver reached precarious speeds.
 
Subsequently, the car lost control, overturned over a hill, and crashed just off Moraga Way. Arriving authorities found a passenger with serious injuries and the driver with fatal ones.
 
At this time, authorities have not identified the victim’s name. However, we will update this report once we receive more information.
