Deadly 2-Car Collision at Wildcat Canyon Road in San Diego

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (October 24, 2023) — One person died in a two-car accident at Wildcat Canyon Road and Muth Valley Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly two-vehicle collision happened around 6:30 p.m. Sunday. For unknown reasons, a driver in a 2003 Ford pickup truck entered the opposing lane of Wildcat Canyon Road. Subsequently, the Ford pickup collided with a northbound 2002 Volkswagen sedan in a head-on manner.
 
Shortly after, paramedics responded and brought the 42-year-old San Diego man driving the Ford to Sharp Memorial Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Officers do not believe alcohol played a factor on his part.
 
As for the Volkswagen driver, he passed away at the scene. Officials have yet to release the 62-year-old’s name.
