1 Dead, 1 Arrested in DUI Multi-Car Accident at Elverta Road in Sacramento

 
SACRAMENTO, CA (May 10, 2024) — A driver died, and another faces DUI charges in a 3-car accident at Elverta Road and Dominion Way.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal multi-car crash happened on May 7 around 9:20 p.m. For an unknown reason, a driver of a Ford Ranger rear-ended a Ram 1500 stopped on westbound Elverta Road. Subsequently, the Ram truck ended up in the eastbound lane of Elverta Road where a Ford F-150 heading eastbound collided with it.
 
Subsequently, paramedics responded and confirmed the Ford Ranger driver deceased on site. Officials did not release his or her name. As for the Ram 1500 driver, that individual suffered minor wounds and the driver of the Ford F-150 reportedly left the scene.
 
Not long after, police found the suspect’s vehicle traveling eastbound and arrested him on hit-and-run and DUI charges.
