Worker Killed in Collapse of Wall near Glenoaks Boulevard [Pacoima, CA]

Construction Worker Dies when Cinder Wall Collapses at Site in Pacoima

 
PACOIMA, CA (June 8, 2023) – A worker was killed when a wall collapsed at a construction site near Glenoaks Boulevard in Pacoima Wednesday morning.
 
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the cinder-block wall collapsed around 8:50 a.m. in the 10500 block of Glenoaks Boulevard.
 
Firefighters responded and found the worker trapped under the rubble. They were able to free him but he was declared dead at the scene.
 
The victim was only described as a 49-year-old man. His identity was not immediately available.
 
Two other male workers, ages 42 and 45, were hospitalized with minor injuries. One complained of back pain.
 
The Los Angeles Police Department and Cal-OSHA were notified, and an investigation was underway.
