Car Hits Juvenile on Bicycle on Woodrow Avenue in Jamacha Neighborhood
SAN DIEGO, CA (May 8, 2023) – An 11-year-old boy was injured in a bicycle accident on Woodrow Avenue in the Jamacha/Lomita neighborhood in San Diego Thursday afternoon.
According to the San Diego Police Department, the boy was riding his bicycle south when he crossed over the northbound lane and rode onto the sidewalk. He then turned back and stepped into the lane when a Hyundai Elantra struck him in the 1300 block of Woodrow Avenue.
The boy suffered a fractured left femur and tibia. Paramedics transported him to a hospital in an unknown condition.
Meanwhile, the 37-year-old female driver of the Elantra was unharmed. She stopped and remained on scene.
