Two Cars Collide on 5 Freeway in San Juan Capistrano Killing At Least One

 
SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA (January 8, 2023) – At least one person was killed in a two-car accident on 5 Freeway in San Juan Capistrano Wednesday afternoon on January 4.
 
The accident happened around 3:42 p.m. at Highway 73. According to the California Highway Patrol, a black Honda Civic and another dark-colored sedan collided at the intersection for unknown reasons.
 
When officers arrived, they found at least one person suffering from severe injuries. They attempted life-saving efforts, but that person died at the scene.
 
The Honda sustained front-end damage from the crash.
 
At this time, the identity of the deceased was not immediately available. It is also unclear if drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
