USPS Driver Killed in Fiery Hit-and-Run Collision on 880 Freeway in Oakland

 
OAKLAND, CA (December 12, 2022) — A USPS driver died in a fiery hit-and-run accident on the 880 Freeway near Broadway.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal hit-and-run collision happened early Saturday. It appears two cars were speeding at the time of the crash when one of them crashed into the trailer of a USPS tractor-trailer. As a result of the impact, the USPS truck caught on fire and the driver died at the scene. The victim’s name has not been released at this time.
 
As for the driver who struck the truck, another car reportedly picked up that individual and fled the scene.
