89-Year-Old Woman Dies after Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver in Watts

 
WATTS, CA (December 4, 2022) – Marie Alexander was killed in a hit-and-run crash in the Watts neighborhood of Los Angeles late Thursday evening.
 
The fatal crash happened just after 11:00 p.m. on December 1, at 109th Street and Central Avenue. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the 89-year-old woman attempted to cross the street when a dark-colored Chevrolet struck her.
 
After hitting the victim, the vehicle did not stop.
 
Alexander suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
