Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Car on Warner Avenue in Huntington Beach

 
HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA (September 26, 2022) – A man was killed in a pedestrian accident on Warner Avenue in Huntington Beach on Friday evening, September 23.
 
The fatal accident happened around 7:00 p.m. just east of Springdale Street. According to the Huntington Beach Police Department, a gray 2015 Acura was traveling eastbound on Warner Avenue when it struck the male pedestrian who was crossing outside of the crosswalk.
 
First responders found the man lying in the street. They attempted saving him, but he died at the scene.
 
The identity of the victim was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
 
The driver of the Acura, a 34-year-old man from Huntington Beach, remained on scene and cooperated with officers.
 
At this time, this fatality is under investigation. Police urged anyone who may have witnessed the crash or the events leading up to it to call them at 714-536-5666.
