GRADANA HILLS, CA (September 26, 2022) – One person was killed in a pedestrian accident on 405 Freeway in Granada Hills early Friday morning, September 23.
 
The fatal accident happened around 3:15 a.m. at the intersection with Devonshire Street. According to the California Highway Patrol, the victim was walking along the southbound San Diego Freeway when a vehicle struck them.
 
As a result, the victim suffered significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
 
The gender of the victim nor the make and model of the vehicle involved in the crash were not immediately known.
 
The crash closed three lanes of the freeway for several hours.
 
At this time, this fatality remains under investigation.
