Man Dies, Several Hospitalized in Madera Head-On Motorcycle Crash on Avenue 12 in

 
MADERA, CA (September 22, 2022) — A man died while several other people were injured in a motorcycle head-on accident on Avenue 12 near Road 33 on Friday.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the two-vehicle collision happened around 7:10 p.m. As a driver in an eastbound 2005 Nissan Altima entered the westbound lane to pass up slower-moving traffic, he came into the path of a westbound 2001 Harley.
 
Subsequently, the 47-year-old Fresno man operating the Harley and the Nissan driver attempted to evade the imminent crash by veering south off the roadway. However, both vehicles collided head-on.
 
The motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries in the collision, and the Nissan driver, a woman and two children in the vehicle, as well, suffered unknown injuries.
 
At this time, CHP officers have not confirmed the fault at play. However, they have ruled out impairment as a possible factor. If anyone has more information on this accident, please call the CHP.
