HUMBOLDT COUNTY, CA (August 8, 2022) – A rider suffered serious injuries following a motorcycle accident on 5th Street on August 6.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred at the intersection of R Street shortly after 7:00 PM.
 
Based on reports, a white vehicle T-boned the victim’s motorcycle at the intersection. Prior to that, a witness said the car ran the red light and it displayed an excessive amount of speed at the time of the accident.
 
As a result, the 37-year-old motorcyclist sustained back pain and a broken leg.
 
In addition, the crash closed the Nos. 1 and 2 lanes of 5th Street while emergency crews were at the scene.
 
Currently, the crash is still under investigation. Also, an investigation into the case is ongoing.
