SACRAMENTO, CA (August 4, 2022) – A woman was killed in a three-vehicle accident near Northgate Boulevard and Sotano Drive in the north Sacramento area on Tuesday afternoon.
 
The accident happened just before 5:00 p.m. on August 2. According to the Sacramento Police Department, three vehicles collided in the area for unknown reasons.
 
Responding paramedics found a total of four patients. They took the patients to a hospital, where one of them later died.
 
The other three people were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
 
Nearby roads where the crash happened were closed for roughly four hours before reopening.
 
The exact cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
