Motorcyclist Dies after Crash with At Least 3 Other Vehicles on 105 Freeway in Hawthorne

 
HAWTHORNE, CA (July 25, 2022) – A motorcyclist was killed in a multi-vehicle accident on 105 Freeway in Hawthorne on Friday afternoon, July 22.
 
The accident happened around 3:59 p.m. at the Prairie Avenue off-ramp. According to the Hawthorne Police Department, a blue motorcycle, a blue Toyota car and at least two other vehicles collided along the eastbound freeway in unclear circumstances.
 
When officers arrived, they located the motorcyclist down in freeway lanes.
 
Paramedics provided life-saving measures, but the motorcyclist died at the scene.
 
Crews issued a SigAlert, closing three freeway lanes for unknown duration while they cleared the wreckage.
 
An investigation into this fatal crash is ongoing.
