Man Killed after Struck by Car on Lewis Road in Camarillo

 
CAMARILLO, CA (July 25, 2022) – A man died in a pedestrian accident on Lewis Road in Camarillo late Friday evening, July 22.
 
The fatal accident happened around 11:35 p.m. just south of Camino Alvarez and south of the junction with Las Posas Road. According to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office, the male pedestrian was crossing the roadway when a southbound vehicle struck him.
 
The impact caused the pedestrian fatal injuries and he died at the scene.
 
The driver, an Oxnard man, remained on scene and cooperated with authorities.
 
At this time, this fatality is still under investigation. The Camarillo traffic bureau asked witnesses to call them at 805-388-5100.
