Motorcyclist Sustains Injuries after Colliding with Car on 15 Freeway in Escondido

 
ESCONDIDO, CA (July 20, 2022) – One person was hurt in a motorcycle accident on 15 Freeway in Escondido on Sunday night, July 17.
 
The accident happened around 6:56 p.m. at the Gopher Canyon Road on-ramp. According to the California Highway Patrol, a red Volkswagen Jetta and the motorcycle collided on the southbound freeway for unknown reasons.
 
When officers arrived, they found the motorcyclist lying in the roadway with injuries from the crash.
 
Paramedics transported the injured rider to a hospital for treatment.
 
It is unclear if there are other injuries sustained in the accident. CHP officials are still investigating the exact cause and liability.
