Woman Dies in Hollywood Hit-and-Run Crash on North Wilton Place

 
HOLLYWOOD, CA (July 19, 2022) – A woman died in a hit-and-run crash on North Wilton Place in Hollywood early Sunday morning on July 17.
 
The fatal crash happened around 4:55 a.m. just north of Sierra Vista Avenue. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the woman was walking on North Wilton when a Toyota Corolla struck her.
 
The force of the collision knocked the woman into the first lane. The driver of the Corolla fled the scene, but has since been found and cooperated with the investigation.
 
As the woman was lying in the road, a Nissan Rogue also struck her. The driver continued north, then east on Santa Monica Boulevard.
 
First responders rushed the woman to a hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
