Cessna Plane Makes Emergency Landing at Rancho Santa Fe Road and Melrose Drive Injuring at Least 3 People

 
SAN MARCOS, CA (July 19, 2022) – Three people were injured in a plane crash at South Rancho Santa Fe Road and Melrose Drive in San Marcos on Saturday night.
 
The plane landed at the intersection around 6:15 p.m., according to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department. The Cessna aircraft made an emergency landing and hit a dark Lexus RX 350 in the process.
 
The pilot was the only occupant of the plane. The car was occupied by two people, including a pregnant woman.
 
First responders safely evacuated all parties involved, who were treated with minor injuries.
 
At the time, an investigation is still ongoing.
