Damian Franks Detained in DUI Crash on Highway 299 near JFK Mem Drive

 
SHASTA COUNTY, CA (July 18, 2022) — Damian Franks faces charges in a DUI rollover accident on Highway 299 near John F Kennedy Memorial Drive.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the single-car accident happened around 11:40 p.m. on Wednesday. For DUI-related reasons, 25-year-old Franks, of Indiana, struck a rock outcropping, causing the vehicle to overturn and catch on fire.
 
Soon after, firefighter-paramedics and CHP officers responded to the scene near the Whiskeytown Visitor Center where firefighters put out the fire.
 
Paramedics took one person to a local hospital for minor injuries while officers arrested Franks for driving under the influence.
