Fatality Reported after Accident on Goldenwest Street near Garden Grove (22) Freeway in Garden Grove

 
GARDEN GROVE, CA (July 12, 2022) – One person was found dead on Goldenwest Street on Saturday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on July 9 at about 10:30 a.m. Responders reportedly found the victim at the Goldenwest Street off-ramp to the eastbound Garden Grove (22) Freeway.
 
Authorities withheld the identity of the victim, pending notification of next of kin.
 
As per reports, a representative from the Los Angeles County coroner’s office arrived a few minutes later to determine the cause of death. However, investigators did not release details about the incident. The circumstances that led to the accident also remain unknown.
 
CHP continues to investigate the cause of the fatal accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
