At Least 1 Hospitalized, Car Crashes off Highway 299 in Humboldt County

 
HUMBOLDT COUNTY, CA (July 7, 2022) — At least one person was injured after a car crashed off Highway 299 near Berry Summit on July 4.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the single-car accident happened at mile marker 32.61. For unknown reasons, a gold Toyota Camry drove over the embankment on Highway 299 east of Berry Summit.
 
Shortly after, Humboldt County Sheriff’s Department and paramedics responded to the scene to extricate at least one occupant from the Toyota.
