Winnetka Car Accident on Vanowen Street Leaves 3 People Dead

 
WINNETKA, CA (July 5, 2022) – Three people died and six others were injured in a three-vehicle accident on Vanowen Street in Winnetka on Sunday evening, July 3.
 
The crash happened around 9:00 p.m. at 19700 Vanowen Street. According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, a Ford Explorer was traveling at 65-70 mph in the 35 mph zone when it collided with two other vehicles.
 
As a result, two 30-year-old men and one 25-year-old man died at the scene. The three men who died were in the Explorer. Their identities were not immediately available.
 
Six other people were taken to hospitals with serious injuries.
 
Police are still investigating this fatal crash. It is unknown if drugs or alcohol was a factor.
