Motorcyclist Dies after Struck by Hit-and-Run SUV in Bellflower

 
BELLFLOWER, CA (July 3, 2022)Brett Mitchell was killed in a motorcycle hit-and-run crash in Bellflower on Saturday evening, July 2.
 
The accident happened around 8:50 p.m. near the intersection of Woodruff Avenue and Alondra Boulevard. According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Mitchell was riding his motorcycle northbound on Woodruff when an SUV crossed into oncoming traffic and struck him.
 
As a result, 32-year-old Mitchell suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the SUV fled the scene without stopping.
 
Authorities are still investigating the fatal crash. They urged anyone with information about the crash to contact the Sheriff’s Department at 562-623-3500.
