Police Arrest Samantha Muniz after Fatally Striking 29-Year-Old Woman in Valencia Park

 
VALENCIA PARK, CA (June 29, 2022) – Police arrested Samantha Muniz after fatally striking a woman in the Valencia Park neighborhood on Monday afternoon.
 
Around 2:46 p.m. on June 27, the San Diego Police Department received a report of a person down in the 5300 block of Imperial Avenue. When officers arrived, they found the 29-year-old woman on the ground and unconscious.
 
Paramedics rushed the woman to a local hospital, where the victim succumbed to her injuries.
 
Police later determined that the victim had an argument with Muniz, her 44-year-old neighbor. During the argument, Muniz’s vehicle struck the victim, knocking her unconscious on the roadway.
 
Muniz was arrested and booked into County Jail on suspicion of murder.
