Big Rig Collide with at Least One Other Vehicle on Highway 50 in West Sacramento Killing One

 
WEST SACRAMENTO, CA (May 26, 2022) – One person was killed in a big rig accident on Highway 50 in West Sacramento on Wednesday evening.
 
The accident happened just after 7:00 p.m. on May 25 in the westbound lanes of the highway at Jefferson Boulevard. According to the California Highway Patrol, the big rig and at least one other vehicle collided for unknown reasons.
 
The impact caused fatal injuries on one person, who died at the scene. The identity of the victim was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
 
At this time, it is unclear how many people were involved and whether drugs or alcohol was a factor.
