Rollover Accident on Fowler Avenue in Fresno County Kills 1 Farmworker and Injures 7 Others
FRESNO COUNTY, CA (April 18, 2022) – A farmworker died in a rollover accident at Fowler Avenue and Lincoln Avenue on Friday morning.
The accident happened around 6:40 a.m. on April 15 just north of the city of Fowler. According to the California Highway Patrol, a silver Chevy Astro van carrying eight farmworkers did not stop at the stop sign on Lincoln Avenue. It then collided with a GMC Terrain traveling south on Fowler Avenue.
The impact of the crash caused the van to overturn. One of the workers inside was not wearing a seatbelt and died.
Seven other people inside the van and the driver of the GMC suffered minor to moderate injuries.
At this time, the identity of the deceased victim was not immediately available.
The exact cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
