Motorcyclist Dies after Crashing into Semi on Hueneme Road in Oxnard

OXNARD, CA (April 11, 2022) – One person died in a motorcycle accident on Hueneme Road in south Oxnard on Friday morning.
 
The accident happened around 11:08 a.m. on April 8 at the intersection with Arcturus Avenue. According to the Oxnard Police Department, the motorcyclist was travelling eastbound along Hueneme Road as the driver of the semi was heading westbound. As the semi was making a left turn onto Arcturus Avenue, the motorcyclist crashed into it.
 
Ventura County Fire Department crews responded and found the motorcyclist lying on the ground with fatal injuries. They pronounced him dead at the scene.
 
Deputies only described the motorcyclist as a man in his 30s.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the semi was uninjured. He remained on scene and cooperated with police.
 
At this time, an investigation is underway.
