Man Dies in Car Crash with Parked Crane on Howard Avenue in Riverside

 
RIVERSIDE, CA (March 1, 2022) — A man died in a car accident with a parked crane on Howard Avenue at Tenth Street on Sunday.
 
According to the Riverside Police Department, the fatal crash happened just after midnight. For unknown reasons, a 26-year-old man driving a 2005 Toyota Camry northbound on Howard Avenue lost control.
 
Subsequently, the vehicle struck a parked construction boom lift crane.
 
Soon after, First Responders arrived at the scene to find the vehicle with major damage and the unresponsive driver, who died shortly after. His name has been withheld pending notification of family members.
 
At this time, authorities have not confirmed if drugs or alcohol played a factor in the crash. However, an ongoing investigation will confirm any outstanding details.
