Man Dies in San Marcos Pedestrian Crash on Mission Road

SAN MARCOS, CA (February 10, 2022) — A man died in a pedestrian accident on Mission Road at Las Posas Road on Tuesday night.
 
According to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, the deadly pedestrian crash happened around 11:30 p.m. For unknown reasons, the male pedestrian decided to cross Mission Road when a westbound Dodge Ram 1500 struck him.
 
As a result of the crash, the 29-year-old pedestrian suffered fatal wounds.
 
As for the 56-year-old Dodge driver, authorities interviewed him and ruled out DUI and speed as possible factors in the accident.
