Female Teen Dies after Struck by Amtrak Train on Riverside Avenue in Paso Robles

 
PASO ROBLES, CA (February 8, 2022) – A female teen was killed in a train accident on Riverside Avenue in Paso Robles on Monday afternoon.
 
The fatal accident happened around 4:30 p.m. on February 7 in the 3400 block of Riverside Avenue near 36th Street intersection. According to the Paso Robles Police Department, the girl was walking southbound along the tracks with a group of friends when she was unable to get off the tracks in time. An Amtrak train then struck the girl.
 
When officers arrived, they found the girl under the train and she was declared dead on scene.
 
There are no reports of any other injuries.
 
Police said this fatal is under investigation and asked anyone with further information to call the PRPD at 805-237-6464.
