Deadly Pileup Crash on 105 Freeway in Paramount Involved 7 Vehicles

 
PARAMOUNT, CA (January 17, 2022) – One person died in fiery pileup accident on 105 Freeway near Garfield Avenue, early Monday morning.
 
The accident happened around 3:30 a.m. on January 17. According to the California Highway Patrol, a total of seven vehicles including a big rig were involved in a pileup crash.
 
First responders found one person trapped in a burning Toyota Prius.
 
Despite life-saving efforts, one person died at the scene. The identity of the victim was not immediately available.
 
At this time, it is unknown if there are other injuries sustained in the crash.

The exact cause of the pileup is still under investigation.
