SANTA CLARITA, CA (January 2, 2022) – Emergency crews transported one person to the hospital following a pedestrian accident on Sierra Highway on December 20.
 
According to California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at Caprock Road around 8:15 PM.
 
Based on a report, an unidentified vehicle struck the victim along with two animals in the lanes.
 
As a result, the L.A. County Department of Animal Care and Control personnel confirmed that the animals died in the incident. Also, paramedics rushed one person to the hospital for treatment.
 
The Los Angeles County Fire Department also responded to the scene.
 
At this point, an investigation into the case is ongoing.
