LOGAN HEIGHTS, CA (January 4, 2022) — A man died in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Franklin Avenue near Commercial Street, early Monday.
 
According to police, the fatal hit-and-run occurred around 3:15 a.m. Under unclear circumstances, a driver in an unknown make and model struck the pedestrian in the Logan Heights community of San Diego.
 
Shortly after, San Diego police officers responded to find the victim, described as a male in his 60s, with severe head trauma. However, after rushing him to a hospital and administering life-saving efforts, the victim died.
