SANGER, CA (November 22, 2021) – Police confirmed that one person died in a crash on North Piedra Road on November 21.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened near East Weldon Avenue around 5:18 PM.
 
Based on an initial report, a tractor was on the lanes with its driver attempting to help a neighbor whose pickup truck had run into a ditch. Officials said it was dark in the area at the time of the crash. Due to unknown circumstances, a vehicle struck the tractor.
 
As a result, the 57-year-old tractor driver died in the incident. Officials did not release the victim’s identity, pending kin notification. The woman driving the second vehicle and five children suffered minor to moderate injuries.
 
At this point, no other details are available. In addition, an investigation is ongoing.
