Edgar Soto Dies in Fatal Solo-Car Accident on North Avenue in Oceanside

 
OCEANSIDE, CA (November 16, 2021) – Police identified Edgar Soto as the victim who died in a car accident in the 4500 block of North Avenue on November 14.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at approximately 7:18 AM.
 
Based on an initial report, a vehicle was traveling on North when it went across all lanes of traffic. Subsequently, it went down an embankment and hit a tree.
 
Paramedics transported the car’s driver and passenger to the hospital. As a result, the driver, 27-year-old Soto of Oceanside died before arriving at the medical facility. The car’s passenger suffered severe injuries in the incident.
 
Officials are looking at a possible case of driving under the influence. At this point, the Oceanside Police Department is still investigating the case. In addition, the police department’s Major Accident Investigation Team asks anyone with information to call Kevin Lissner at 760-435-4651.
