Motorcyclist Dies after Colliding with Truck on Butte House Road in Yuba City

 
YUBA CITY, CA (November 10, 2021) – A man was killed in a motorcycle accident on Butte House Road at Oro Grande Street in Yuba City, late Monday afternoon.
 
The accident happened around 5:20 p.m. on November 8 near Tierra Buena. According to the Yuba City Police Department, the man was riding his motorcycle at a high rate of speed and passing vehicles on both the right and left side of the road. He then collided with a truck at the intersection.
 
Responding medical personnel found the motorcyclist lying in the roadway with major injuries. They rushed him to Adventist Health/Rideout, where he later died.
 
Authorities only identified the motorcyclist as a 31-year-old Marysville resident.
 
Meanwhile, the 69-year-old male driver of the truck from Yuba City was unhurt. He remained on scene to speak with officers.
 
The driver of the truck was not under the influence and it is unknown if the motorcyclist was under the influence.
 
An investigation is ongoing.
