81-Year-Old Surjit Ghumman Killed in Pedestrian Accident on McLaughlin Avenue near Tully Road

 
SAN JOSE, CA (November 10, 2021) — Surjit Ghumman died days after a pedestrian accident on McLaughlin Avenue near Tully Road.
 
According to San Jose police, the pedestrian accident happened on October 30 at 7:49 p.m. Under unclear circumstances, a driver in a 2007 Honda struck 81-year-old Ghumman as he tried crossing McLaughlin Avenue between crosswalks.
 
Shortly after, First Responders arrived and transported the elder to a local hospital where he died days after. Meanwhile, the driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with police who subsequently ruled out DUI as a possible explanation for the accident.
