Hit-and-Run Driver Wanted after Accident on Van Ness Avenue in San Francisco

 
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (October 18, 2021) – A woman died in a hit-and-run accident on Van Ness Avenue on October 14.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at McAllister Street around 1:05 AM.
 
Based on an initial report, the victim was on the lanes at the time of the crash. Due to unknown circumstances, an SUV came and struck her. Then, the SUV left the scene, without rendering aid to the woman.
 
As a result, the victim died at the hospital. Officials did not yet release her name pending kin notification.
 
At this point, the San Francisco Police Department has not yet released a description of the SUV and its driver. In addition, an investigation into this accident is ongoing.
