Child Dies after Car Backs Over Her on Hesperia Road in Victorville

 
VICTORVILLE, CA (October 18, 2021) – A 4-year-old girl from Apple Valley died in a pedestrian accident on Hesperia Road Saturday afternoon.
 
The accident happened around 3:28 p.m. on October 16, in a Victorville parking lot at 12199 Hesperia Road. According to the Victorville Police Department, a car backed over the child who was either walking or standing in the parking lot.
 
The child was unresponsive and had major injuries when authorities arrived at the scene. Paramedics then rushed the juvenile to Desert Valley Hospital, where she later died.
 
Police did not release any information about the driver of the car.
