Woman Dies in Redding Pedestrian Accident on C Street

 
REDDING, CA (October 18, 2021) — A woman died in a pedestrian accident on C Street near 5th Street on Saturday evening.
 
According to officials, the fatal crash happened around 9:00 p.m. For unknown reasons, a 31-year-old driver of a Ford heading southbound on C Street struck the two women standing next to a parked vehicle with the door open.
 
As a result, one woman suffered fatal injuries and paramedics brought the other victim to Mercy Medical Center with major injuries.
 
Meanwhile, the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with police investigators.
