Car and Moped Crash in San Diego Accident on Friars Road

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (October 4, 2021) – A 27-year-old man suffered injuries in a moped accident in the 7000 block of westbound Friars Road on October 2.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Uric Street at approximately 10:21 AM.
 
Based on an initial report, a 30-year-old man driving a Honda Civic was exiting an apartment complex parking lot and going onto Friars at the time of the crash. Suddenly, a moped entered the intersection against a red light. Then, the two vehicles collided in the lanes.
 
As a result, the moped driver sustained serious injuries in the incident. Officials transported him to a hospital in a non-life-threatening condition.
 
At this point, the San Diego Police Department is still investigating this moped accident on Friars Road.
