Los Angeles Clippers Employee Assane Drame Dies after Downtown Los Angeles Crash

 
DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES, CA (October 4, 2021)Assane Drame was killed in an accident in downtown Los Angeles late Monday evening, September 27.
 
The accident happened around 11:40 p.m. in the westbound lanes of 10 Freeway near the La Brea Avenue exit. According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, Drame had pulled over because his 2012 Honda Accord was inoperable. A short time later, another car hit his vehicle, striking him in the process.
 
Drame suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. He was a 26-year-old Los Angeles Clippers employee, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office.
 
Drame worked as a video producer in the digital media department for the Los Angeles Clippers. He was last seen picking up equipment from the team’s administrative office in downtown Los Angeles near the intersection of 12th and Flower streets.
 
The circumstances of the crash remain under investigation.
