Juan Ixcoy Suffers Fatal Heart Attack after San Pablo Car Accident

 
SAN PABLO, CA (October 1, 2021) – A passenger suffered a fatal heart attack after a three-car accident on 80 Freeway in San Pablo early Monday morning, September 27.
 
Authorities identified the victim as 52-year-old Juan Ixcoy of Oakland. Medics rushed him to the hospital where he died after going into cardiac arrest at the scene.
 
The accident happened around 4:50 a.m. at the El Portal Drive exit. According to the California Highway Patrol, a Toyota RAV4 SUV, a Honda Civic and a Toyota Corolla collided. The RAV4 overturned in the crash and wound up in the far left lane. After that, the Honda Civic ran into it, as did the Toyota Corolla.
 
The driver and two other passengers in the SUV suffered major injuries. As a result, paramedics transported them to a trauma center. The conditions of the other three were not available.
 
CHP officials said drugs or alcohol did not play a role in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
