Woman and 2-Year-Old Son Dead after Falling from Concourse Level at San Diego’s Petco Park

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (September 26, 2021) – A mother and her son died after falling from the third level of Petco Park onto the street below Saturday afternoon.
 
The incident happened just before 4:00 p.m. on Park Boulevard. According to the San Diego Police Department, the 40-year-old woman and her 2-year-old child were near the dining and concession area on the concourse level, estimated to be about six stories high, before they fell.
 
Responding paramedics attempted to provide medical treatment, but the mother and son both died at the scene.
 
The names of the victims have not been released, but both were identified as San Diego residents.
