Box Truck Involved in Fatal Pedestrian Accident on 15 Freeway in San Diego

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (September 23, 2021) – Police confirmed that a man died in a pedestrian accident on northbound 15 Freeway on September 18.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened just south of University Avenue at approximately 12:40 AM.
 
Based on an initial report, the victim was on the roadway at the time of the crash. At the same time, a box truck was traveling on the highway. Due to unknown reasons, the truck hit the victim.
 
As a result, the pedestrian died in the incident. Officials only identified him as a 30-year-old man. The box truck driver, a 30-year-old Ramona man, was not hurt.
 
At this point, no further information is immediately available. Also, an investigation into the case is ongoing.
