Three Hurt after a Rollover Crash on Highway 1 and Black Road

 
ORCUTT, CA (September 23, 2021) — Three people suffered injuries in a rollover accident on Highway 1 on Monday, September 20.
 
According to California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at around 9:30 p.m. near Highway 1 and Black Road.
 
When CHP arrived at the scene, they discovered two vehicles and one pickup truck were part of the incident. One of the vehicles overturned onto its roof and another had major front-end damage.
 
Santa Barbara County Fire arrived and discovered two people with major injuries and one person with moderate injuries.
 
The impact of the incident ejected one of the victims from a vehicle. Firefighters said none of the victims needed to be freed from their vehicles.
 
Medics rushed the victim with serious injuries by ambulance to a helicopter pad where the victim was then airlifted to Cottage Hospital. They rushed the other patient to a trauma center by ground ambulance.
 
The incident temporarily closed all lanes of Highway 1. Officials reopened the southbound side of the highway at around 10:23 p.m.
