Man Dies in Fallbrook Solo-Car Crash on 15 Freeway

 
FALLBROOK, CA (September 14, 2021) — A man died in a solo-car accident on the 15 Freeway near Stewart Canyon Road.
 
According to authorities, the single-car accident happened around 1:00 a.m. For unknown reasons, a Nissan heading southbound and carrying two men veered off the road. Subsequently, the Nissan struck a metal guardrail, leaving the 28-year-old passenger and 56-year-old driver with major injuries.
 
Soon after, paramedics reached the scene and transported both patients to Palomar Medical Center. However, the driver succumbed to his injuries.
 
At this point, authorities have not confirmed if DUI played a role. However, anyone with more information should contact the California Highway Patrol.
