Man Struck by Vehicle in Pedestrian Accident on South Cedar Avenue in Fresno

 
FRESNO, CA (August 31, 2021) – One person died in a pedestrian accident on South Cedar Avenue on August 26.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near East Hamilton Avenue around 6:45 AM.
 
Based on reports, the victim was standing between Hamilton and Woodward at the time of the crash. Due to unknown circumstances, a vehicle came and struck him.
 
Emergency crews transported the man to the hospital. Later on, the victim died due to severe injuries. Officials said the man was in his 60s but they did not yet release his name pending kin notification.
 
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the police. As of now, the incident remains under investigation by the Fresno Police Department. Also, no other details are available.
